In January and beginning of February, the Kurzeme Planning Region implemented a four training seminar series “Healthy Lifestyle and Intergenerational Cooperation” within the framework of the project “Connecting Generations in Diversity (ConnectingGen)”. The seminars took place in Tukums, Saldus, Talsi, and Kuldīga, bringing together more than 50 participants from social services, educational institutions, youth and leisure centres, care institutions, NGOs, and municipal administrations.
The seminars focused on healthy lifestyles across different stages of life, the physical and emotional well-being of youth and seniors, healthy ageing principles, nutrition, professional well-being, and stress management. Participants appreciated the topics and practical approach and the seminar, especially the session on healthy nutrition.
Overall, the training cycle confirmed strong regional interest in evidence-based, practice-oriented knowledge that strengthens professional competencies and development of inclusive approaches in working with youth and seniors across the region.
