As part of the project “Mobile multiservice concept development for socially vulnerable groups in Livani and Mažeikiai”, Mažeikiai District Municipality has purchased a new electric minibus, which will become the main tool for providing mobile social and digital services in settlements remote from the city.
The electric minibus will operate as a mobile consultation center, providing residents with the necessary social and digital assistance in the most remote areas of Mažeikiai District Municipality. The vehicle is currently being tested to ensure the smooth operation of all systems before starting the full provision of services. Testing the electric minibus will ensure that mobile services are provided with high quality and reliability.
The minibus is specially adapted – it is equipped with office furniture, computer and other necessary equipment, allowing it to operate as a full-fledged mobile consultation center. The following services will be provided to residents: acceptance of applications for social benefits, compensations and benefits, issuance of certificates, information about the services provided by the Mažeikiai District Municipality and other social digital services.
This initiative is part of a cross-border project implemented in cooperation with the Livani Municipality in Latvia. The project aims to improve the accessibility of services for socially vulnerable groups in remote rural areas using mobile digital solutions.
