To promote a broader understanding of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and its role in regional development, the “fit4future” project has released two video stories. These materials document key events from late 2025, visually demonstrating how students from Latvia and Lithuania turn theoretical knowledge into functional, real-world solutions.
The videos provide a retrospective look at the project’s practical activities, highlighting the creativity, technical skills, and cross-border cooperation of the region’s youth.
High-Tech Competition and Community Building The first video highlights the International Robotics Competition held in Bauska in October 2025. The event brought together 113 participants with 54 robots, creating an environment where technical innovation met healthy competition. Students demonstrated high precision and strategic thinking across three disciplines—LEGO Sumo, Folkrace, and Line Following.
Beyond the technical achievements, the video captures the crucial social aspect of the project. As noted by guests from Lithuania, the opportunity to observe peers and learn from one another serves as strong motivation. This exchange of experience not only strengthens engineering skills but also fosters a unified cross-border STEAM community.

From Classroom Theory to Urban Solutions The second video offers insight into the “Create Your City” contest held in Biržai in November 2025. Here, the focus shifted to solving real environmental challenges. Students worked on projects such as planning the renovation of a village amphitheater and improving school territories.
By developing urban models and accompanying advertising campaigns, the participants successfully combined engineering knowledge with digital skills and a creative approach. This method effectively bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-life application.
