The goal of the “Hand in Hand” project is to promote the social integration of people with disabilities and children from disadvantaged families in the Saldus (Latvia) and Kretinga (Lithuania) districts by improving social services and strengthening cross-border cooperation
The conference will bring together project partners, social service providers and other stakeholders in order to:
- present the project activities and achieved results,
- share experiences and recommendations,
- discuss future cooperation and further development opportunities.
Programme
- 9:30–10:00 – Arrival and coffee break
- 10:00–10:10 – Opening of the conference
- 10:10–10:50 – Project activities and outcomes (partner and recommendation presentations)

- 13:10–14:10 – Group work “What’s Next?”

The central message of the conference is that inclusion begins with a meeting — not with documents or methods, but with a moment when people meet, different in their abilities, experiences, languages and sense of security.
Participants will engage in an interactive gamification workshop and group discussions to generate ideas on how to continue and further develop the cooperation and solutions created within the project
We warmly invite social service providers, representatives of municipalities, NGOs and all stakeholders interested in building an inclusive society to join us.
