From August 4 to 8, 2025 a fire safety camp took place in the city of Skoda, Lithuania, bringing together 10 children from Dienvidkurzeme Municipality and their peers from Lithuania.
The five days were filled with adventures, new friendships, educational activities, and unforgettable moments. The children learned about fire safety, forest protection, environmental issues, and waste management. They also had the opportunity to try out firefighting equipment and learn more about the profession of a firefighter.
The camp was organized within the framework of the Interreg Latvia–Lithuania Programme 2021–2027 project No. LL-00228 “Cooperation between fire safety services to strengthen disaster risk prevention and management on the Latvian–Lithuanian border, CAFIGS.”
